What is fibre?

Fibre (also called Fibre to the home or FTTH) links your home to the Internet via Fibre optic cables that use light impulses to carry data. These impulses bounce along thin glass Fibre tubes at the speed of light, which makes Fibre very fast and stable and results in a more reliable, buffer free, experience for you. Unlike ADSL, the Fibre network has no copper cables, making it theft and weather-proof. With Fibre you no longer need a landline (voice line) from Telkom that you don’t want or use.
