How to Setup your ZTE MF286C LTE router?
If you’ve just received your new ZTE LTE router and SIM card but need some help getting it set up, this is the guide for you.
This is a comprehensive guide and depending on your comfort level you might want to skip over some parts so we’ve broken it into the following sections.

Step 1: Unboxing and router info
Follow these steps to familiarize yourself with your new router.
Step 2: Unboxing your router. Your router will have the following items:
- The ZTE MF286C LTE router
- AC power adaptor
- Short internet cable
- LTE SIM card
- Quick start guide
Step 3: Front panel lights
Familiarise yourself with the lights on the front panel lights. You should see the following:
- Power
- WiFi
- Phone
- 3G/4G
- LTE signal strength
Step 4: Ports and Connectors
On the back panel, you should see the following:
- External antenna connectors (optional extra)
- Backup battery house (optional extra)
- Network ports 1-4
- Power connector
- Power switch
Step 5: SIM card insertion
The SIM card slot is located on the right side of the router. Carefully pop up the full SIM card out of the plastic card and insert it into the router.
Step 6: Underside sticker
- 2.4GHz wifi network name
- 5GHz network home
- Default wifi password
- Router admin URL
- Router admin password
- IMEI and serial number
