Is there an installation fee?
We offer free installation. A R249 once-off router delivery fee, payable upfront, applies to most providers — this does not apply to Vuma Reach, Openserve WebConnect, and Frogfoot Air.
When do I start paying?
No upfront payment. You start paying your monthly price only after fibre is installed and activated at your premises. Pro-rata billing applies if you activate mid-month.
Is there a contract?
No long contracts — it’s month-to-month and you can cancel anytime with one calendar month’s notice. A cancellation fee may apply if you cancel within 12 months of activation.
Does the price include line rental?
Yes — the price you see is the price you pay. All fibre packages include both data and line rental. There are no hidden extras.
How long does installation take?
Most providers take about 7 days. Once your line is installed and activated, you can be connected to Site Essence within 24 hours.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my speed?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your speed up until 5PM on the last day of the month. No penalties for changing your speed tier.
I already have fibre with another ISP — can I switch?
Yes. Contact us and we’ll guide you through the migration process. You can transfer your existing fibre line to Site Essence easily.
How does Vuma Prepaid work?
Vuma Reach Prepaid gives you 30-day vouchers of unshaped, unthrottled fibre. Vouchers are paid by card or EFT. You can stack up to 6 vouchers (180 days) at a time. Installation, activation and a WiFi device are all free. Available in selected areas only.
How can I pay for my fibre?
Fibre is only payable by debit order or card. You choose your debit order date — the 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th or 25th. We don’t force you to pay on the 1st like other providers.

What is LTE?
LTE uses wireless networks and SIM card technology to connect you to the internet. It’s quick to set up, requires no fixed line, and is a great option for people who want flexibility and fast setup.
Do I need a router?
Yes, you need a compatible LTE router. Our LTE SIM works in any 4G-compatible router. If you don’t have one, you can order a router together with your SIM — they’ll be delivered at the same time.
Can I insert the SIM in my phone?
No — our LTE SIM is designed to work in a router only, not a mobile phone.
Are the packages truly uncapped?
Yes, all packages are uncapped — you’ll never be completely cut off. After your high-speed data threshold, speeds step down in stages (see the FUP table above), but you remain connected all month.
Is there a contract?
No contracts. It’s month-to-month and you can cancel anytime with one calendar month’s notice.
How long will delivery take?
Your SIM card will be delivered within 1–3 business days from your order date. If you also ordered a router, it will be delivered at the same time.
What is RICA and why do I need it?
RICA (Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Act) is a South African law that requires all SIM cards to be registered. After placing your order, you’ll be asked to submit your ID or passport and proof of address online. We will not deliver or activate your SIM until these documents have been submitted — there’s no agent at delivery to collect them.
How do I pay monthly?
