What is a Fair Usage Policy (FUP)?

A Fair Usage Policy means that your LTE service is uncapped, but your speed may be reduced after you have used a very large amount of data during the month.

You can continue using the internet without buying additional data. The only difference is that your internet speed may be temporarily reduced.

Example

You have a 20 Mbps Uncapped LTE package.

• You use 100 GB → speed remains up to 20 Mbps
• You use 300 GB → speed remains up to 20 Mbps
• You use 500 GB → speed remains up to 20 Mbps
• You then reach the FUP threshold → your speed may be reduced to 4 Mbps
• If you continue using very large amounts of data → your speed may be reduced further

Your service does not stop when you reach the FUP threshold. You can continue browsing, streaming, downloading and using the internet.

The speed reduction is temporary and resets at the start of your next billing month, when your normal package speed becomes available again.

In simple terms: Uncapped means you can keep using data without running out, while Fair Usage means your speed may be reduced after exceptionally high usage.
