Packages, Minutes & Airtime

Article helped 76 Site Essence customers Print

1. What is included in my monthly package?

Each package includes a specified number of standard local South African calling minutes.

For example, the entry package shown on our pricing page includes 75 standard local minutes for R50/month, plus the once-off R100 setup fee.

2. What can I use my included minutes for?

Your included minutes are for standard local South African calls.

The included allowance does not mean that every possible destination is included. International, premium, special and other destinations may be charged separately from your prepaid airtime balance.

3. What happens when I use all my included minutes?

Additional usage is deducted from your prepaid airtime balance.

You can top up your airtime whenever you need more calling credit.

4. How much do calls cost?

Standard local South African calls are shown from R0.42 per minute on our rate information.

Exact charges can vary depending on the destination, and your actual usage is reflected in your account call records.

5. Can I search for a specific call rate?

Yes.

Your VoIP service page includes a call-rate search where you can search by telephone number or area code. South African rates are displayed by default.

6. What happens to unused minutes?

Unused included airtime/minutes can roll over for up to 3 months.

The oldest rolled-over airtime is automatically used first before newer monthly airtime.

7. Do unused minutes expire?

Yes.

Unused minutes/airtime can be carried forward for up to 3 months. After that period, the oldest unused allowance expires.

8. Can I top up my airtime?

Yes.

Your airtime is prepaid, and you can top up when you need additional calling credit. Your available balance can be viewed from your Site Essence account.

9. Does my airtime expire?

Your unused airtime can roll over for up to 3 months. The oldest rolled-over balance is used first.
